I. Undergraduate’s Entry Requirements & Documents

1. Entry Requirements

a. Senior high school graduates.

b. For programs taught in English, the language proficiency requirement of IELTS 6.0 (academic module) or TOFEL (IBT) 70 or equivalent level tested by the university is required for applicants whose official language is not English. If applicant’s senior high school programs are of English medium, the above language requirement is waived, provided an official teaching language certification is offered.

c. For programs taught in Chinese, Chinese language proficiency requirement of new HSK4 or former HSK5 or equivalent level tested by the university is required. If applicant’s senior high school programs are of Chinese medium, the above language requirement is waived, provided an official teaching language certification is offered.

Applicants who don’t meet the above Chinese language requirement are supposed to join in the University’s language training program before transferred to degree programs.

d. Good health condition.

2. Application Documents

(1) AHUT Application Form for International Student

(2) Scanned copy of valid passport.

(3) Scanned copy of senior high school diploma. Students expecting to graduate should provide the status quo certificate issued by current schools, and the original graduation diploma should be brought when registered.

(4) Scanned copies of senior high school academic transcripts.

(5) Scanned copy of English-filled Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The original copy should be submitted when registered.

(6) Scanned copy of language proficiency certificate (if any).

(7) Digital photo of passport size.

Note: Documents in languages other than English or Chinese must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.

II. Master’s Entry Requirements & Documents

1. Entry Requirements

a. Holders of bachelor degree or above.

b. For programs taught in English, the language proficiency requirement of IELTS 6.5 (academic module) or TOFEL (IBT) 80 or equivalent level tested by the university is required for applicants whose official language is not English. If applicant’s programs for the highest diploma are of English medium, the above language requirement is waived, provided an official teaching language certification is offered officially.

c. For programs taught in Chinese, Chinese language proficiency requirement of new HSK4 or former HSK5 or equivalent level tested by the university is required. If applicant’s programs for the highest diploma are of Chinese medium, the above language requirement is waived, provided an official teaching language certification is offered.

(6) Two recommendation letters from referees. The format of the recommendation letters can be downloaded from .The letters are supposed to be sent directly to ahutforeign@163.com by referees.

(7) Scanned copy of language proficiency certificate (if any).

(8) Digital photo of passport size.

III. Doctor’s Entry Requirements & Documents

1. Entry Requirements

a. Holders of master degree or above.

b. Applicants should meet one of the following language proficiency requirements:

1) IELTS 6.5 (academic module) or TOFEL (IBT) 80 or equivalent level tested by the university is required for applicants whose official language is not English. If applicant’s programs for the highest diploma are of English medium, the above language requirement is waived, provided an official teaching language certification is offered.

2) New HSK4 or former HSK5 or equivalent level tested by the university is required. If applicant’s programs for the highest diploma are of Chinese medium, the above language requirement is waived, provided an official teaching language certification is offered.

c. Good health condition.

(4) Scanned copies of master-degree academic transcripts.

(5) Scanned copy of English-filled Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The original copy should be submitted when registered.

(6) Two Chinese or English recommendation letters from referees , at least one of whom has the knowledge of the applicant’s academic background. The format of the recommendation letters can be downloaded from our website. The letters are supposed to be sent directly to our email by referees.

(7) Research plan written in Chinese or English.

(8) List of academic publications (if any).

(9) Employment Certificate (if any).

(10) Scanned copy of language proficiency certificate (if any).

(11) Digital photo of passport size.

IV. Non-degree Programs

1. Entry Requirements

(1) Beginning-level Chinese class requires no specific language proficiency. And intermediate-level requires basic Chinese communication skills.

(2) Basic Chinese or English communication skills are required for visiting students.
